The sword and the rose have been two objects of constant connection, but here I turned it for the viewer. Instead of being soft and relaxed a more harsh look to an old picture. The colors themselves speak. This burned look upon them gives the look of troubles and hardship. The gold ring to show the unite between both the sword and the rose worn and burnt still binds them. The red cloth both torn and burnt to say they have nothing more but each other to shed their blood for. The blue jewel upon the sword to signify the future of things to be. These things have all stood the test of time. These that are always to be seen has soft and relaxed are more then that now for they will stand together. Binded by the hardship and troubles they will stand while others fall. While others still will end up burnt and broken they will go through it together. For they know that by doing it together they will be able to stand up to even time itself.
The sword shown in many ways but here is for protection even though it pierces the rose. The rose understands that is must give part of itself to the sword. Just as the sword has given part of itself to the rose. Both together can help the other one to stand. Even though they have a golden ring that binds them it means nothing if they can not help one another to stand and be there for the other. There is nothing but lies if there is nothing to show what they themselves have been through.
